| Geneva, Switzerland - June 26th, 2002 - RSD introduces a new end-user interface based on Java servlets and J2EE (Java 2 Enterprise Edition) technology : RSD Folders/Thin Client version 1.0.
This product delivers significantly faster secure access, via a Web browser, to business critical documents stored in an RSD Folders database. The servlet implementation eliminates the need to install any additional software on the client machine, as all processing and HTML page generation are handled on the J2EE server.
Taking advantage of the set-up on the client machine, the product opens a document either in its original format via the Plug-In associated with the file's format or in another more accessible format using on-the-fly converters.
RSD Folders Thin Client is the first of a series of new client products designed to take advantage of the speed and power of servlet technology. The compliance of this new line of products with the J2EE platform ensures their integration in the enterprise IT environment and their compatibility with other enterprise applications.
