Two major additions to the latest release are a Web capture facility and the full support of documents in PDF format.
As an integral part of this new EOS release, a new web document (Internet) capture facility has been implemented, allowing efficient capture of the information produced by multiple sources across multiple platforms in the entire DP organization. EOS is now the true single archive repository for all Intranet and Internet reports and documents. With a single click of their mouse, users within the enterprise can quite literally retrieve any document either produced or received by the organization.
Large organizations tend to rely more and more on PDF format as a standard for document composition & production, presentation on the Web and long term archival. RSD is proud to deliver EOS V1.3 facilities to capture, archive, split, index, distribute, view and print PDF reports and documents. Large PDF production files, produced directly by the applications or document composition tools are captured, analyzed and indexed in EOS, and then become available for single document consultation from a workstation or the Web.
