What a very interesting info graphic. I really like the "More than just retention and disposal", in fact it is even more than record management, since :
- organization need to know about Information before assuming it could be a, record,
- organization need to work with valuable information that may not be a record.
KFS for an information governance program is to assume that information is global to the organization, the "who will be involved" assume that you will take care of all their needs, regulation, security but business needs, is a high level priority.
I just came back from a very important meeting in an Information governance entity in a Big industrial firm, and the challenge we talk about was about this :
"Talking about information, we need to handle a maximum of risk, we need to let the business entity work and be as productive as possible, and we need users to accept some rules (considering that if there are too much, nothing will be respected)"
It was not easy but we where definitively ok on the fact that Information governance is both information Value and risk management (including records management).
A v2 of this very nice info graphic should assume talking about this value part (collaborative, process, social network, ...)
