Learn About:

Whether you are currently using 3270 client, EOS/PC or EOS Thin Client Applet the benefits of converting to EOS Thin Client are overwhelming:
•    Ready-to-use application
•    Real-time secure access from any web browser
•    Drastic redduction of print and IT resource costs
•    Extended customization at both administration and user levels
•    Transform - automatically convert a report/document format (AFP->PDF)
•    E-mail - to send a report/document or portion to anyone
•    Export - to download a section or entire report for further analysis (in Excel, etc.)
EOS Thin Client is a full-featured, self-contained product for accessing information in an EOS database. Built on a Java applet, it operates under a standard Internet browser. It provides both time and savings benefits for both end users and systems personnel.

With EOS Thin Client version 3.7.5, users now have the ability to connect to any printer attached to an EOS server. The filter selection (i.e., the ability to select specific reports and documents) has been enhanced to include every function currently available in EOS/PC, RSD's fully featured client/server product. Other significant new features include the online help facility and the ability to define language and country directly in applet parameters.
The AFP Viewer Plug-In provides users with the ability to get full fidelity viewing of AFP print streams. This component was designed to meet the requirement of maintaining only minimal software resident on the PC and was initially implemented for the EOS Thin Client. Presently, it is available, as well, for other RSD client products. AFP viewing support has been enhanced to more quickly render even the most complex graphical displays on the user browser in only a few seconds. For color reports and documents, two new features (optimized color display and a 'smooth option') reduce the graininess of an image and make documents easier to read.

Who should attend:

This event is designed to benefit every EOS Administrator and User currently using 3270 client, EOS/PC and/or EOS Thin Client Applet to access their reports.
