Teaneck, NJ, April 1, 2012. RSD, a leading provider of information governance solutions for the enterprise, today announced the creation of The IG Teamwork Challenge, a cross-functional stool-building competition to crown the organization who best understands the urgency for collaboration within information governance initiatives.
“As the official sponsor of information governance (IG), RSD decided it was time to establish a one day competition to bring greater awareness to information governance and the need for collaboration among siloed corporate functions,” commented Tamir Sigal, RSD Director of Marketing. “We are looking forward to watching the teams compete.”
IG enforces desirable behavior in the creation, use, archiving, and disposition of corporate information. Pulling employees from different departments, The IG Teamwork Challenge pits organizations against one another in a race to construct a wooden stool. Teams are comprised of Legal, IT, and business divisions. The three departments must break down divisional silos and cultural differences, working together to be the first team to build a sturdy stool. Three judges will sit on the stools to determine their sturdiness. The first company to create a stool that doesn’t break upon sitting wins.
This competition will be held May 1, 2012, one month after the announcement of The IG Teamwork Challenge. RSD is now accepting submissions for the competition. Companies interested in competing to win can register on RSD’s website.
