The Content Group secures Northern Europe partnership with RSD
Great Britain, February 22, 2011. Independent ECM technology and consultancy provider, The Content Group (TCG), has signed a strategic partnership with Geneva-based RSD, to resell RSD GLASS™ – RSD’s comprehensive information governance platform which helps organisations manage corporate risk and improve operational efficiency through compliance with regulations and laws governing enterprise information and records management.
This strategic partnership will allow TCG to offer and promote the entire RSD portfolio of business information & delivery, document & content management and information governance software solutions throughout Northern Europe - the UK, Germany, Scandinavia and Benelux.
Information governance enforces desirable behaviour in the creation, use, archiving, and deletion of corporate information. The information governance challenge has created urgency at the executive level to respond to explosive growth in content creation and rapid expansion in laws and regulations governing that content. Unlike current enterprise information management and "bolted-on" records management solutions, RSD GLASS enables central management of retention policy and metadata, while supporting enforcement of information governance policy across business functions, locations, and information silos.
Ben Richmond, Founder and CEO of The Content Group, comments, “RSD GLASS is a unique information governance platform that addresses all phases of the enterprise information lifecycle and supports the enforcement of information governance policy across organizational, geographic, and repository boundaries.”
Richmond continues, “This partnership with RSD will enable us to extend our reach both on an international basis and through access to what we believe are some of the most comprehensive information governance products available in the market. Having the ability to consult around and implement such a platform will enable TCG to meet the ever growing needs of organisations seeking to bring true enterprise governance to their information.
Note to readers: An information governance program includes the business processes and information lifecycle practices which entail more than just retention or disposal. It incorporates data privacy attributes, eDiscovery requirements, storage optimisation and metadata management.
The Content Group is an independent ECM technology and consultancy provider whose ‘Content Expert’ best practice methodology ensures successful content initiatives for its clients across the globe. The expertise and best practice methodology of The Content Group ensures its clients receive unbiased advice combined with technology recommendations that deliver results.
Pierre Van Beneden, RSD CEO, comments, “Partnering with an organisation such as The Content Group is strengthening our presence and activities in the UK and Northern Europe. RSD has created the first truly comprehensive information governance platform with RSD GLASS – which will provide a sure foundation for The Content Group’s ever increasing capabilities in this area. RSD GLASS includes breakthrough, and patent-pending innovations – upon which The Content Group’s wide range of personnel, many of whom are domain experts in their respective fields can consult effectively and implement our products reliably.”
Richmond continues, “RSD and RSD GLASS’s holistic approach to information governance answers many of the concerns and demands throughout enterprise-scale organisations. CIOs are faced with a daily challenge of providing consistent ready access to hundreds of terabytes of data, often stored across multiple servers perhaps even in multiple countries. Meanwhile, legal departments and record managers are desperate to ensure that pertinent laws and regulations pertaining to their business and the information they hold are not only understood but are also acted upon, removing the risk of inadvertent non-compliance and potentially crippling litigation.”
