Press Release deco

Geneva, Switzerland, July 10, 2003 – Once again, RSD has qualified in the leader quadrant in the latest Gartner's Magic Quadrant* for Integrated Document Archive and Retrieval Systems (IDARS) issued on June 26, 2003.

According to Gartner "IDARS leaders achieve the highest combined measures of ability to execute and vision. They are doing well today and are prepared for the future. They must have: strong channel partners; presence in multiple geographies; consistently strong financial performance; broad support for platforms and data streams; the most comprehensive and scalable products; the ability to combine push and pull features of report distribution systems and computer output to laserdisc (COLD). As a group, leaders exhibit win-loss ratios and growth above the industry average. These strategic vendors have the highest likelihood to survive and drive the IDARS market."

Gartner highlights that "Leaders have succeeded because of platform support (particularly in mainframe and Unix environments) and the buildout of other content management components", and about RSD's performance in particular "RSD strengths include platform support and ease of use".

These criteria indeed correspond to RSD's strategy and objectives to offer scalable solutions that integrate in the increasingly complex enterprise IT environments and to stay one step ahead of customer technological requirements.

"We are pleased to see that our strategic vision and ability to execute have been recognized by Gartner. Our continued success in the IDARS marketplace validates our resolution to focus on our core mission: to provide strategic software that improves the productivity and efficiency of information handling. We remain committed to offering our customers innovative advances, aimed at running secure applications operating on all the industry-recognized server platforms" says Louis-Pierre ROGER, RSD President

The Magic Quadrant is Gartner, Inc.’s opinion and is an analytical representation of a marketplace at and for a specific time period. It measures vendors against Gartner defined criteria for a marketplace. The positioning of vendors within a Magic Quadrant is based on the complex interplay of many factors. Gartner does not advise enterprises to select only those firms in the “Leaders” quadrant. In some situations, firms in the Visionary, Challenger, or Niche Player quadrants may be the right matches for an enterprise's requirements. Well-informed vendor selection decisions should rely on more than a Magic Quadrant.
