Press Release deco
Geneva, Switzerland – 01 April 2003 – RSD (Roger Software Development) announces that the Peugeot Citroën Group (PSA), a major car manufacturer with one of the largest SAP sites in Europe, has selected RSD Folders and RSD’s SAP-certified ArchiveLink interface to manage the archival of SAP data, print lists and documents.

Having deployed SAP in 1998, PSA was faced with an increasing volume of SAP data to archive. To alleviate the situation, RSD Global Archive for SAP R/3 will transparently integrate the archival function within the SAP business workflow and RSD Folders will manage the documents. The solution was initially implemented in a matter of days without the need to modify the PSA computer environment. PSA plans to include in RSD Folders all documents originating from other applications running on their Unix server platforms.

For PSA, document organization will be simplified with the flexibility of RSD Folders to file and retrieve SAP-generated data according to both SAP and PSA criteria with no duplication of archives, a crucial advantage for a company of that size. End-users will have the possibility of accessing documents via two RSD Folders Web-enabled client interfaces, the Thin Client and the Java API. The latter will be utilized in conjunction with the Advanced Business Index (an RSD Folders component) to provide effortless retrieval of both SAP and non-SAP documents related to specific criteria.
