Geneva - Switzerland, October 7th, 2003 - RSD (Roger Software Development) announces that BpER Group (Banca popolare dell'Emilia Romagna), one of the largest banking groups in Italy has acquired EOS (Enterprise Output Solution) and RSD Folders for z/OS. The RSD solutions will replace various applications used by the banks in the group, in order to rationalize the management of contents throughout the company comprising 1,000 branches.
EOS will ensure the distribution of reports for access via its Java-based Thin Client browser. RSD Folders will manage all company customer documents, offering easy access to archives via a Web interface customized with the product API. The rapidity of implementation of RSD Folders and the freedom it offers in the choice of the archival media were only some of the advantages that convinced BpER. The good track record of EOS with Banco di Sardegna, recently acquired by BpER and an EOS user for many years, was another key factor in selecting the RSD suite of products. This project was realized in coordination with Stratos, RSD's partner in Italy.
