Client Interfaces

Three powerful client interfaces offer the enterprise the flexibility to deploy EOS documents and reports in the computing environment best suited to end user requirements.

All interfaces access information stored either in one EOS database or using the Global View Monitor, providing a single consolidated view of information stored on multiple EOS servers throughout the organization, running on Windows NT, UNIX and OS/390 platforms.

Furthermore, security rules defined on the EOS servers ensure that end users gain access only to documents and reports for which they are authorized.

EOS Thin Client takes advantage of user familiarity with the Internet by displaying EOS information in any standard Web browser. Thus any authorized user, even those without direct access to the enterprise computing environment, can view and print EOS documents and reports.

A self-contained product, based on Java applet technology, the Thin Client eliminates the need for the installation and maintenance of additional software on the PC. An intuitive toolset allows users to quickly zoom in on required data.

EOS/API offers the enterprise the greatest flexibility in designing a client interface. The IT team can use this command-based product to integrate EOS information within enterprise custom applications running under Internet browsers or on PC workstations.

The user benefits from the ability to access specific EOS information, be it a full document or a specific section, within the context of an already familiar interface, and the IT team benefits from the elimination of additional user software or training.

EOS/PC provides a complete set of features and functions that simplify the management of large volumes of data. In addition to viewing and printing information off-line, this product, among other things, can automatically convert document data into file formats, which can be retrieved in PC database and spreadsheet programs, eliminating the re-keying of information.
Operating in a Windows environment, it offers advanced management functionality on the EOS server.
