Bassam Zarkout is a thought leader in the Enterprise Information Governance Platforms space (conception, design, development and implementation). He is also a public speaker on these subjects.

Zarkout has over 19 years experience in Information Governance solutions, including Records Management, eDiscovery, Regulatory Compliance, Data Privacy, and Audit Trail Management. He has a deep understanding of the impact of laws, regulations and standards in these areas: US DoD 5015.2, MoReq2, FRCP, SOX, SEC 17a-4, and ISO standards such as 15489 (RM) and 14721:2003 (OAIS Archival Reference Model). Zarkout also has in-depth experience with various document-centric technologies including ECM, Email Archiving, Report Output Archiving, Imaging, and Workflow.

Over the past 10 years, Zarkout has been involved in enterprise information governance projects at large enterprises, including US Department of Defense, major global financial services organizations (banks and insurance companies), major automotive manufacturers, etc.

At RSD, Zarkout has been leading the pioneering and innovative RSD GLASS™ vision, creative strategy, and architecture, from its initial inception, through its development and now its deployment with major global corporations.

Prior to RSD, Zarkout was a Senior Director at Mobius Management Systems where he was also responsible for the Records Management vision and implementation. Zarkout came to Mobius through its acquisition of eManage, a startup specialized in electronic records management and email archiving. At eManage he held the position of VP Products.

Zarkout holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree (Mechanical) from the American University of Beirut.
